Specialty Foams

Polyurethane Foam

Polyurethane foams are flexible materials used in molded parts, flexible cushion material, and sealants. They can be made with different properties to suit specific needs. Polyurethane foam is a broad category encompassing various types, including polyether foam.

Polyether foam is known for its flexibility, moisture resistance, cushioning, and insulation.

Properties

Excellent flexibility

Good sound and
vibration dampening

Moderate to high durability

Provides good cushioning

XLPE / EVA Foam

XLPE or Crosslinked foam is a closed-cell, durable foam known for its firm feel and excellent water resistance. It’s created by linking polymer chains through heat, making it strong and long lasting. Since the foams cells are closed off from each other, it doesn’t absorb most liquids. This makes it ideal for thermal insulation, expansion joints, industrial gaskets, and protective packaging.

Properties

Closed-cell structure

Excellent shock absorption

Stable in a wide
temperature range

Highly resistant to water,
air, and chemicals
