Oxidized Polyacrylonitrile (OPAN) Needle Felt
OPAN (also known as PANOX) is an oxidized polyacrylonitrile fiber that does not burn, melt, soften, or drip. As an internationally recognized standard for non-flammable textile fibers, OPAN is used across various industries as effective protection against fire and heat.
Its Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) value is greater than 45%, which is significantly higher than that of most other fibers and indicates exceptional resistance to combustion. OPAN is electrically non-conductive and offers excellent chemical resistance.
It has been evaluated according to BSS-7229 for gas emissions during combustion and has been found to produce very low levels of toxic gases.
Cut yardage refer to material cut from a master roll in yard increments. Minimum order quantities apply to cut yardage.
Please note: Some thicknesses, weights, and roll widths are not stocked regularly and may be subject to minimum order quantities. Custom specifications can also be produced to meet your requirements. Contact us for details on availability and minimums.
