What is Eco-Fi®?
Eco-Fi® is the fiber technology at the core of every Kunin product. It starts with recycled plastic bottles, which are processed into polyester (PET) fibers and then needle-punched into felt. The result is a material that doesn't require virgin petroleum resources to produce, helps divert plastic from landfill, and still performs at the level you'd expect from a name-brand craft felt.

There are 4 products in the Eco-Fi® line: Classic, Premium, Friendly, and Presto.
Kunin Eco-Fi® Classic
The core, multipurpose felt in the Eco-Fi® line is the Classic felt. It is a high-quality, all-around craft fabric. Great for general crafting, schools, camp, and home projects; this material has a wool-like feel to it.
It balances weight and texture without being too stiff or too thin. It's the most broadly available Kunin product and the one most carried in quantity.
Colors available: Over 30 colors spanning the full spectrum – from classic primaries and holiday colors to more muted naturals. Available as 9" x 12" and 12" x 18" sheets, as well as full rolls in a variety of bolt lengths (72" or 36” wide, 10 yards, 50 yards, and 300 yards unfolded).
Applications: Classroom art projects, holiday crafts, seasonal decor, DIY projects, camp activities, toy making, no-sew projects and general creative use.
Kunin Eco-Fi® Premium
This is the top tier of the Eco-Fi® line. Premium is an 8oz/sq yd felt and is heavier and denser than the Classic. It die-cuts neatly and won’t fray or unravel when used. It's the closest thing in the Eco-Fi® line to a wool-performance felt at a synthetic price point.
Colors available: Over 20 colors, including neutrals like Walnut, Sandstone, Cashmere Tan, Smoke, Charcoal, and Black; classic brights like Red, Orange, Yellow, and Kelly Green; and more distinctive tones like Copper Canyon, Pirate Green, Peacock, Lagoon, Orchid, and Neon Blue. Available as 9" x 12" or 12" x 18" sheets, and in full rolls at 73" width.
Applications: Costumes, apparel, home decor, no-sew projects, larger craft builds, and any project where a heavier, more finished-looking felt is needed. Because of its weight and density, it also performs well in die-cutting and machine needle applications.
Kunin Eco-Fi® Friendly
This is a stiffened version of the Classic felt. Friendly goes through a special treatment process that gives it a firmer hand and allows it to hold whatever shape or structure you give it. This is unlike standard felt, which can flop or sag on larger pieces. It cuts cleanly and crisply, making it easy to get sharp edges without much effort.
Colors available: Around 11 colors available in sheets, including Yellow, Baby Blue, Baby Pink, Fuchsia, Red, Orange, Apple Green, White, Black, and Walnut. Sold in 9" x 12" and 12" x 18" sheets, in bulk cases of 32 packs (24 sheets per pack per color).
Applications: Intermediate to professional crafting, structural elements in costumes or displays, backing layers, holiday ornaments, shaped decorations, and anywhere you need a felt piece that holds its own form rather than collapsing.
Kunin Eco-Fi® Presto
This is the Classic felt with an adhesive backing. Presto is the peel-and-stick version of the Classic, designed for projects where you need felt to attach quickly and cleanly without glue, sewing, or additional hardware. The adhesive backing is already applied – you just peel the liner and press.
Colors available: Around 11 colors available in select, popular shades — including Black, White, Charcoal, Cashmere Tan, Copper Canyon, Walnut, Cocoa Brown, Kelly Green, Red, and Yellow. Available in 9" x 12" sheets and rolls, in bulk cases of 32 packs (24 sheets per pack).
Applications: Schools and camps, quick-build holiday crafts, no-sew projects, home decor, and any situation where speed and ease of installation matters. Presto is especially useful in educational settings where students are young, or time is limited; and in commercial applications where you need a clean surface without messy gluing.
